Scholarship Program

General instructions for the application of the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Scholarship are below:

Purpose

The Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association is dedicated to promoting coaches and athletes in baseball.

The applicant must be a member of a baseball team his senior year and the nominating coach must be a member of the MHSBCA.

Criteria

The applicant must have a G.P.A of 2.5, an ACT score of 18 or above, and be a graduating senior. The scholarship is open to both male and female students who plan on going to 4-year college. Five recipients will be chosen by the scholarship committee.  Applicants must be a full-time student and must have played high school baseball.

Amount

This is a one-time $1,000.00 dollar scholarship to be used toward college tuition and/or books. The scholarship money will be awarded to the recipients at the annual MHSBCA convention held in January the following year. As a courtesy, we suggest the recipients attend the awards luncheon to receive their scholarship. To be awarded the money, recipients must have a valid grade card or transcript to show they have successfully completed a full-time (12 hours) college schedule with satisfactory 2.5 G.P.A. If a recipient does not achieve a 2.5 G.P.A., the money will be returned to the scholarship fund.

Selection

A committee will be appointed solely for the purpose to select scholarship recipients. Their decisions will be final.
